Privacy Policy

AsterRail is an escrow payment platform on Stellar, live on mainnet and in active development. This policy explains, plainly, what we store and what we never touch.

Your wallet is your identity

There is no sign-up, email, or password. You connect a Stellar wallet, and your public wallet address is your account. We never receive, store, or have any access to your private keys or seed phrase — every transaction is signed inside your own wallet.

What we store

  • Profile you choose to create — your public wallet address, display name, bio, and skill tags.
  • Jobs, applications and deal metadata — titles, descriptions, budgets, the settlement token, and a mirror of on-chain deal state for display.
  • A session token — after you sign a one-time challenge, a short-lived token is stored in your browser’s local storage so you don’t re-sign on every refresh. It expires automatically and is cleared when you disconnect.

What we never store

Private keys, seed phrases, and your funds. The escrow contract holds the money on-chain — AsterRail’s servers and database never do.

On-chain data is public

Transactions you sign — locking escrow, releasing funds, adding a trustline — are recorded on the public Stellar ledger and are visible to anyone. Amounts, wallet addresses, and transaction hashes on-chain are inherently public. Please keep this in mind before linking a public portfolio to a wallet you also use for payments.

Third parties

The app talks to Stellar RPC and Horizon to read and submit transactions, and to your chosen wallet extension to sign them. It does not sell data or run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Early-stage notice

AsterRail is live on Stellar mainnet and still in active development. During this early phase data may be reset, and this policy will be expanded — alongside a third-party security audit and a formal compliance review — as the product matures.
